Grand Seiko Launches the SBGA529 "Peach Blossom" Watch



The dial features a textured, pale pink design inspired by the peach blossoms currently in bloom in Nagano.

Grand Seiko proudly introduces the Heritage Collection limited edition SBGA529, a new Spring Drive timepiece created exclusively for the Grand Seiko Boutique at Lenox Square. Inspired by the picturesque Achi Village in Nagano Prefecture—renowned as the "Home of Peach Blossoms"—the watch captures the fleeting beauty of spring along the Achi River. Home to the Shinshu Watch Studio (located in Shiojiri), the region inspired the studio's master watchmakers to infuse the dial with the soft hues of morning peach blossoms; the result is a delicately textured, pale pink dial that displays subtle, shifting nuances as the light changes.

The watch features a 40mm high-intensity titanium case inspired by the classic 62GS model from 1967, utilizing a bezel-free design and a box-shaped sapphire crystal. The dial displays a soft peach-pink hue, reminiscent of the delicate blush of blossoms at dawn, complemented by polished Dauphine hands, crisp hour markers, and an understated power reserve indicator. Zaratsu polishing creates a distortion-free, mirror-like finish that contrasts sharply with brushed surfaces, allowing light and shadow to play across the case.

Through the sapphire crystal case back, the self-winding Spring Drive Caliber 9R65 is clearly visible; this movement offers a 72-hour power reserve and an accuracy of ±15 seconds per month.
